FWDG names 12 nonprofits as 2026 Season of Giving winners

Twelve Lowcountry nonprofit organizations have been selected to receive funding through FWDG’s 2026 Season of Giving, with Palmetto Animal League named the overall winner.

The annual program invites local nonprofit organizations to participate and gives community members an opportunity to vote for organizations in a variety of categories.

In addition to Palmetto Animal League, Junior Service League was selected in the Men & Women category; Child Abuse Prevention Association in Kids & Youth; Second Helpings in Food & Self-Sufficiency; Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine in Medical & Healthcare; and Alzheimer’s Family Services of Greater Beaufort in Wellness & Recreation.

The Pat Conroy Literary Center was selected in Education, Arts & Literacy; Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry in Family & Community Support; Operation Patriots FOB in Military, Veterans & First Responders; Humane Association of the Lowcountry in Animal & Conservation — Single Species; Raskel’s Rescue in Animal & Conservation — Multiple Species; and Programs for Exceptional People in Inclusion, Disability & Independent Living.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in this year’s Season of Giving,” FWDG CEO Donna Senica said. “The passion and dedication of these organizations is truly inspiring. It is an honor for FWDG to help shine a light on the important work happening throughout our community.”
