Batteries Plus open in Bluffton

A new Batteries Plus store has opened at Belfair Towne Village, 103 Towne Drive, offering battery products and related services to the community.

The first of four planned locations, the store is owned and operated by Joe Davis, a former new car dealer with more than 30 years of customer service experience, along with his wife, Heidi Davis, a co-owner and controller, and their son, Colin Davis, a recent University of Georgia graduate. Together, the Davis family brings a blend of operational expertise, financial leadership and customer-focused service to the business.

For Joe, the decision to return to business was simple.

“I spent my career taking care of customers,” he said. “I missed that. This store is all about helping people find the right solution and making it easy for them.”

That service-driven mindset extends to Colin, who leads the store’s commercial division. He works with local businesses to build relationships, provide tailored battery programs and deliver reliable service. Together, the Davis team is focused on becoming a resource for both individual customers and companies throughout the Bluffton area.

Heidi Davis emphasized the importance of community in building the business.

“Bluffton is a special place, and we’re excited to be part of it,” she said. “For us, it’s not just about running a store. It’s about building relationships, supporting local families and businesses, and becoming a place people can rely on.”

Batteries Plus is known for its wide selection, and the new location reflects that.

“We carry everything from hearing aid batteries to tractor-trailer starting batteries,” Joe Davis said.

The Bluffton store features a lineup of marine and RV batteries, supporting the Lowcountry lifestyle where boating and travel are common. Whether powering a day on the water or keeping an RV road-ready, the store offers solutions designed for performance and durability.

In addition to marine and RV applications, the store carries batteries for automotive, motorcycle and powersport vehicles, as well as mobility devices, fire and alarm systems, cellphones, lawn equipment and other hard-to-find needs. The location also supplies a range of lighting solutions and offers a selection of advanced battery technologies, including lithium options for select applications.

Beyond batteries, the store provides services including device repair, automotive key fob sales and programming, and replacement of watch and key fob batteries, creating a one-stop shop for everyday power and lighting needs.
